India Dominates Bangladesh as Centuries from Pant and Gill Shine

India is on the verge of a strong victory against Bangladesh in the Chipke Test. Centuries by Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill helped India build a massive lead, leaving Bangladesh with a daunting target of 515 runs. At the end of the third day, Bangladesh stood at 158/4, still needing 357 more runs to avoid defeat.

Pant, making his return to Test cricket, played a superb knock of 109 runs. Gill, who had failed in the first innings, bounced back with an unbeaten 119. Despite Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli not scoring big, India comfortably declared at 287/4. KL Rahul also chipped in with 22 runs. Bangladesh’s second innings started better than the first, with openers Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam putting together 62 runs.

However, Jasprit Bumrah broke their partnership, and Ravichandran Ashwin’s spell (63/3) caused further trouble. He dismissed key players like Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Shadman. At stumps, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto was unbeaten on 51, with Shakib Al Hasan at 5. With two days left, India's win seems certain, and fans are expecting an early finish on the fourth day.
