1. What brought you to be a wholesome singer of this generation ?

Anny : Well my love for melody brought me here in this industry and I also inherent it from my father also as he was a classical guitar player. I have seen my dad performing in Rabindra Sadan at Berhampore. So, my love for music basically flows in blood then thanks to my all gurus and guru maa's that I have learnt hindustani classical while growing up.Still I am under training

2. What kind of genre do you prefer to perform on live stage ?

Frankly speaking I generally do popular choices but I always prefer singing a mixed bag numbers like few bengali film songs and Rabindrasangeet, hindi and western including regional folks.I love rock to pop.Though I had been associated with a band called A Dot in The Sky, where we do follow postrock and ambient genre.

3. What’s according to you is more important, quality of music preference or lyrics of the song ?

Both actually,  both go hand in hand, If one of the quotient is a little low, then the whole production is wasted or sounds unpopular.some musicians prefer writing first then do the musical part, some do it vise verse. There are other part also which are equally important- arrangements of the song and singing.

4. Do you feel Bengali music is fading away from international music space due to remixes and re modulation of the songs ?

I never support remixes and remodulation actually,  but yes due to high marketing strategies, in respect of bengali music , Bollywood and western music are taking places everywhere , these days Punjabi songs are taking places above all..I belive we need to learn marketing of our own product in a proper way worldwide. Otherwise there are good productions in Bengal as well, somehow it’s unnoticed.

5. Who makes you inspire still ?

All the hardworking people around me, as a singer if you ask me whom do I follow then I would say I love Celine dion and Lata ji, so from east to west there are a whole bunch of singers and bands who Inspired me a lot in my small musical journey.

6. Do you feel AI is curse to new age generation in terms of independent music scene ?

AI has its boon and curse,  yes in some respect it is grasping our human capabilities by solving and doing all. I do believe we humans are loosing our logical, creative human thinking capabilities OVER RO-BOTS!
