Vashu Bhagnani, a prominent Bollywood producer and father of Jackie Bhagnani, has sold his seven-floor office due to mounting debts. Despite the recent success of "Bade Mian Chote Mian," the film failed to recoup its production costs. This adds to a series of flops under the Pooja Entertainment banner, leading to significant financial troubles for the company.
Vashu's financial woes began with the release of "Bell Bottom" after the pandemic. Subsequent films like "Mission Raniganj" and "Ganapath" also failed at the box office. Even a deal with Netflix couldn't save the situation, as the platform declined to pick up their films. The final blow came with the disappointing performance of "Bade Mian Chote Mian," starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
In response to these financial setbacks, Vashu Bhagnani had to lay off 80 percent of his staff and sell his luxurious office in Bolipara. He now faces a debt of 250 crores, forcing him to take drastic measures to avoid bankruptcy. Many in the industry are questioning whether betting on stars like Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff led to Vashu Bhagnani's downfall.
