The upcoming science fiction film 'Kalki 2898 AD' is generating a lot of buzz, not just for its storyline but also for the hefty paychecks its star cast has reportedly received. Leading South Indian actor Prabhas is said to be the highest-paid actor in the film. According to sources, he earned a whopping Rs 150 crore, which is a quarter of the film's total budget of Rs 600 crore. This is significantly higher than his remuneration for his previous big-budget film 'Adipurush'.
Deepika Padukone, the female lead, has also reportedly received a significant pay raise for 'Kalki 2898 AD'. Sources claim she earned Rs 20 crore, which is almost eight times more than what she received for her recent film 'Fighter'. Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan are also said to have commanded high fees for their roles in the film. Bachchan reportedly received Rs 18 crore, while rumors suggest Haasan earned Rs 20 crore for his role, which is believed to be a short one. Disha Patani, who appears in a brief role, is said to have taken home Rs 2 crore.
The combined remuneration of all the actors is estimated to be around Rs 250 crore, highlighting the grand scale of this sci-fi extravaganza. The makers are hoping that the film's visual effects and star power will translate to box office success.
