India has announced its squad for the Zimbabwe tour on Monday. Shubman Gill has been named the captain. This is India’s first series after the T20 World Cup. Five new players have been included in the team. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested.
The Indian selectors have chosen a 15-member squad. Shubman Gill, who was not part of the main T20 World Cup squad, has been appointed as the captain. The team includes new faces like Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, Nitish Reddy, Dhruv Jurel, and Tushar Deshpande. Among them, Dhruv has played Test cricket but is making his T20 debut.
India will only play T20 matches in Zimbabwe. The five-match series starts on July 6 in Harare. The first match will be played on July 6, followed by the second on July 7. The remaining three matches will be on July 10, 13, and 14. Except for the match on July 10, which starts at 6 PM IST, all other matches will start at 1 PM IST.
